With GivingTuesday around the corner, Mississauga residents are gearing up to join the global GivingTuesday movement for a fourth year this Tuesday, November 27th, 2018.
After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, GivingTuesday is a day dedicated to giving back to any cause, in any way you choose. It's a day celebrated in over 140 countries around the world and in over 40 communities across Canada to encourage and celebrate generosity. On GivingTuesday, Canadians are asked to volunteer, donate blood, make a financial donation, attend a fundraiser, or give back to your favourite cause in whichever way you choose to—it's that simple!
Across the City of Mississauga, residents are encouraged to choose a charity and kick start the holiday season by giving. Charities, businesses, schools, and local community groups will be taking part in events and campaigns we've listed below. Plus, keep checking back as more events will be added to the list as we near GivingTuesday!
