With GivingTuesday around the corner, have you decided how you will give back? Across the City of Mississauga, charities will be seeking support from Mississauga residents at events across the city. Supported by CRH Canada and TD Canada Trust, we are excited to announce all that is happening this GivingTuesday in the City of Mississauga on Tuesday, November 28th, 2017. Check it out:
Armagh House will be stationed at Clarkson GO Station (1110 Southdown Rd, Mississauga, ON L5J 0A3) between 6:00 to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on November 28th to sell Wrapped in Courage Scarves to generous commuters. Armagh House will also be collecting monetary donations.
The Riverwood Conservacy will be hosting a Celebrity Sever Night on November 28th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Boston Pizza Erin Mills (2915 Eglinton Ave W, Mississauga, ON L5M 6J3). A portion of Boston Pizza sales during the event will be donated to The Riverwood Conservancy.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel Region will be hosting a Celebrity Server Night on November 28th from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Boston Pizza Square One (35 Square One Dr, Mississauga, ON L5B 0E2). A portion of Boston Pizza sales during the event will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel Region.
The University of Toronto Mississauga Centre for Student Engagement will be hosting a GivingTuesday volunteer fair from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at The Meeting Place on the University of Toronto Mississauga campus (3359 Mississauga Road, Mississauga, ON, L5L 1C6). Students attending the fair will meet with charity's and non-profit's in Peel Region seeking volunteers throughout the year.
Canadian Blood Services Heartland Blood Donor Clinic (765 Britannia Rd W #2, Mississauga, ON L5V 2Y1) is seeking 47 donors ready to roll up their sleeves this GivingTuesday on November 28th. The Canadian Blood Services also has 50 slots available at Eden United Church (3051 Battleford Rd, Mississauga, ON L5N 5Z9 on November 28th. Register now.
Carassauga will be hosting their third annual Carassauga Charity Drive on November 28th from 7:30 to 11:00 p.m. at The Port House Social Bar and Kitchen (139 Lakeshore Rd E, Mississauga, ON L5G 1E5) in support of Interim Place. Carassauga will be collecting coats, gift cards, and care items at the event which will feature music, food, and fun! RSVP today.
The Credit Valley Conservation Foundation will be launching their Be A Conservation Hero campaign on November 28th running until the end of the year. Help the Credit Valley Conservation reach their $10,000 goal and donate now.
The Peterson Team (103 Lakeshore Road East, Mississauga, ON L5G 1E2) will be collecting food donations for The Compass Food Bank on GivingTuesday at their Lakeshore office. Dropping off a donation to The Peterson Team? Generous donors will be given poinsettias for their contributions.
The Mississauga Food Bank accepts donations at their warehouse (3121 Universal Drive Mississauga ON L4X 2E2) during business hours on GivingTuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Food donations will also be accepted at various fire stations and grocery stores across Mississauga listed here.
The Canadian Mental Health Association of Peel Dufferin are seeking winter clothing donations such as coats, boots, shoes, jeans, and other warm apparel items. Items can be dropped off at the CMHA Peel Dufferin office (314-7700 Hurontario StreetBrampton ON L6Y 4M3) or donations can be made online. Learn more.
Eden Food For Change accepts perishable and non-perishable donations at their main office (2-3185 Unity Drive Mississauga, ON, L5L 4L5) from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Emergency Relief & Development Overseas (ERDO) is raising money to save the lives of children suffering from malnutrition by providing the gift of Plumpy’Nut!
